Capstone offers an effective multi-step process to Manage Organizational Change by providing training, support, recognition of problems and successes, and the development of a plan based on the data it collects.

Capstone has developed a considerable amount of knowledge and insight into the process of organizational change. We recognize that the change process is critical to ensuring that the school community is successful in implementing any and all school reform/school improvement actions. When asked to change the way they are used to doing business, staff may understandably move through various stages of change that are not necessarily progressive, but include anxiety, resentment, and hostility. The school community needs to understand that these stages are a normal part of the change process and must be supported as they move through these stages.

Human Capacity Building Framework:

  • It is a societal good to foster pervasively, high level knowledge, skills, and abilities in intellectual, technical, and civic participation domains, for successive cohorts of the diverse American population.
  • Capacity building is predicated on the existence of integrity in the life experiences of diverse people.
  • Integrity conveys that these experiences and their consequences have complexity, coherence, and depth.
  • Thus, for example, certain “non-mainstream” people should not be construed simply in terms of pathologies, deficits, and weaknesses; and their improvement is predicated on fixing them because they are broken.
